BAKSOS and Sofia University join forces to train experts in responsible and sustainable management

The promotion of the new master’s program “Responsible and Sustainable Management” and the opportunity to train more highly qualified specialists in the field of responsible and sustainable management is the basis of the new agreement signed in late June between Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski ”and the Bulgarian Association of CSR Specialists (BAKSOS).

The agreement also envisages updating the curricula in the disciplines taught in the bachelor’s and master’s programs of the Faculty of Economics, related to sustainable business development and corporate social responsibility, including the introduction of new courses and specialties, as well as presenting real cases from the practice of members. BAKSOS and their inclusion in the learning process.

“The establishment of the profession, raising public awareness and knowledge of its ethical norms and standards and the development of an information network between professionals from the country and abroad are among the main goals of BAKSOS. That is why we welcome the creation of the new master’s program and we expect to actively participate in its promotion, “said Dr. Marina Stefanova, Chairman of the Board of the professional organization.

“The new master’s program of the Faculty of Economics for responsible and sustainable management reaffirms the commitment of Sofia University in connection with the Sustainable Development Goals. With the signed agreement we strengthen our leadership position in this modern field of management and coordinate our priorities with the leading companies in this field, “said the Dean of the Faculty of Economics Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev. It is also planned to hold joint specialized trainings, round tables, conferences and other events according to the needs of the practice, including the postgraduate qualification of Sofia University.
